Random question: poor mixdown in Foo Fighters' 'Best of You'

Postby spadekevin » Wed Jun 13, 2018 7:54 am

HI,

I listened to the Foo Fighters' 'Best of You' in headphones for the first time today and I noticed what seems to be really poor mixing of the drums. After the intro, when the song gets loud (0:48), the drums are right of center, with the cymbals being mostly in the right channel. In the eleventh bar (odd choice) of this section (1:07), the drums are switched to left of center, with the cymbals being mostly in the left channel. In the fifth bar (near the upbeat of the second beat--very odd choice) of the chorus (1:40), the drums are again switched to the right side, but this time it sounds rather abrupt and definitely out of place.Does anybody else hear this, and how on earth do they let crap like that make it on the CD?

Please help.

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
